If you reach Como by train in a single day you will use four slow means of transportation: train, funicular, boat, and.... your legs! Our guide will be waiting for you in front of the funicular to Brunate to reach this magnificent balcony over the city in a few minutes. We have some interesting facts to tell you about Como and the surrounding mountains, which can only be understood and appreciated from here. Then on foot, among mountain landscapes and forests, we pass through the Blevio Mountains, the Sorto Mountains and the Cazzannoro Mountains and arrive at Monte Piatto. Here, from the church of S. Elisabetta, the view is incredible and, a short distance away, you are expected to encounter one of the strangest places on the Lake: they call it Pietra Pendula, a large erratic boulder that appears as if poised precariously on another smaller stone.
We continue to the small village of Piazzaga, where we will have lunch in a typical mountain hut. We then descend, passing in the surroundings of the mysterious avelli boulders, to the quaint village of Torno, overlooking the lake, and return to Como by boat.
